Transgenic Organisms

Transgenic animals and plants have been produced in a large number of animal and plant species with an objective to improve them for (i) food and feed and for (ii) production of chemicals and pharmaceutical drugs. They are also produced with an objective to identify regulatory sequences of a variety of genes.
