Program Description Program activities that are delivered through county offices include all types of gardening including vegetable and small fruit production, greenhouse management, Master Gardener, dairy and livestock production, natural resource based home business development, roadside markets, and woodlot management. A number of other programs focusing on youth and families that would be of interest to small farmers are regularly offered through county Extension offices. State specialists are very accessible through the county office to answer client questions. Specialist support is available in pest management, water quality, vegetable production and marketing, potato production, blueberries and other small fruits, apples, aquaculture, green-house management and woody ornamentals, dairy and livestock production, farm management, field crops, and forestry.
