What can be measured by titration?
- The concentration of an unknown substance e.g. 0.900 mol L−1.
- Percentage purity, e.g. 56%.
- Water of crystallization, e.g. (NH4)2SO4.nH2O.
- Percentage of a metal in a salt, e.g. 12% Fe in a salt.
- Water hardness, e.g. determination of the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions.
